A big thank you to the Dudley community for coming together and donating teddy bears and soft toys/items to be donated to Brockswood Animal Sanctuary.
We hope these soft toys will provide comfort, warmth, and joy to the animals flourishing at this sanctuary.
Womenn will continue to support local sanctuaries in the future.
An animal sanctuary is a place where animals that have been abused, neglected, or otherwise displaced from their natural habitat can live in a safe and secure environment. It is a place where animals can be loved and cared for, and given a chance at a better life.
Animal sanctuaries can be found all over the world, from large, established ones to smaller, privately-run facilities. They provide a safe haven for animals that have been rescued from dire situations, such as abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Some of these rescue animals may have been living in unsuitable conditions or may have been victims of cruelty or neglect.
At Brockswood Animal Sanctuary, animals are given the chance to live out the rest of their days in comfort and safety. They are provided with a safe home, food, medical care, enrichment activities, and plenty of love and attention. Brockswood Animal Sanctuary also provides the opportunity for people to come and visit the animals, learn more about them, and form a special bond with them.
Brockswood Animal Sanctuary also plays an important role in protecting and preserving endangered species. They provide a safe environment for animals to breed and live in, and help to ensure that these species are not lost forever.
The sanctuary also provides an educational opportunity for the public, allowing people to learn more about the animals and their natural habitats, and to become more aware of the importance of preserving wildlife and the environment.
This sanctuary is a wonderful way to help animals in need and to ensure that they are not forgotten.
There is also a dog trail for members to walk their dogs whilst also enjoying the countryside's fresh air and views. Booking is required to have access to the Dog run at the sanctuary.

Each year, Inter Faith Week begins on Remembrance Sunday and runs until the following Sunday. It is hoped that the additional Sunday provides the opportunity for other weekend events to take place as well as those linked to Remembrance Sunday. Remembrance Sunday was chosen as a start day to encourage people to remember together the contributions of all faiths and none, and to consider how best to create a just, peaceful, and harmonious world.
Inter Faith Week:
Here is WHY?
Building good relationships and working partnerships between people of different faiths and beliefs is part of the year-round work of many people and organizations across the UK.
Having a special Week provides a focal point, helping to open inter-faith activity up to a wider audience so that more and more people are made aware of the importance of this vital work and can participate in it.
Leaders from Womenn had the lovely opportunity of meeting the great leaders of Dudley and working together towards a better cause.
Interfaith Week is crucial in fostering a sense of unity, respect, and understanding among people of diverse religious backgrounds. It encourages individuals to transcend religious differences and work together toward common goals, promoting a more inclusive and harmonious society.
See you all next time
Womenn is pleased to announce a forthcoming event to help the community grow.
Our Sidr Tree campaign is planned for Spring 2024, Volunteer yourself for this amazing tree-planting opportunity by getting in touch with us. You will not just be planting a tree but also be helping to preserve nature for the woodland animals. Your tree will last for generations to come.
Background information:
Tree plantation is an important activity that has numerous benefits for the community. It helps to preserve biodiversity, conserve water, preserve soil, control climate, reduce pollution, and provide a natural habitat for a variety of species. It also contributes to global reforestation efforts, restores lost forests, repairs damaged ecosystems, mitigates climate changes, and provides greenery.
In addition to the environmental benefits, tree planting can also have a number of social and economic impacts.
Tree planting also greatly benefits the people living around them by having a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing, reducing stress, and encouraging outdoor exercise. Trees provide a multitude of benefits, both long and short-term. They remove and store carbon from the atmosphere, slow heavy rain and so reduce the risk of flooding, enhance air quality, and improve the urban heat island effect by reflecting sunlight and providing shade.
This campaign is an activity that will have numerous benefits for the community and should be encouraged. Stay tuned.
