Womenn's Book Club for Children

For the love of books

Love books

Reading books is an excellent way to help children develop their cognitive, social, and emotional skills.

According to the Raising Children Network, reading books, sharing stories, talking, and singing every day helps children in many ways.

Reading and story time can:

  • Help children get to know sounds, words, and language, and develop early literacy skills.
  • Introduce children to the value of books and stories.
  • Spark children's imagination

Reading a book teaches a child about people, places, and events that they couldn’t learn otherwise. This gives children a deeper understanding of the world around them and cultures that are different from their own.

Kids who read grow up to have better cognitive skills.
